Dear Por Vida Academy Families, Students, and Community,

Welcome to a new school year at Por Vida Academy Charter High School!

It is an honor and privilege to continue serving as your Principal. As I begin my fourth year in this role, I remain deeply committed to ensuring every student receives an exceptional education in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where they can learn, grow, and thrive.

My journey at Por Vida Academy began as an English teacher and volleyball coach. Over the years, I have had the privilege of serving our students in a variety of roles, including History Teacher, Reading/Dyslexia Specialist, and First-Year Teacher Mentor. Each of these experiences has strengthened my passion for education and shaped my leadership philosophy. While I have cherished every opportunity to teach and mentor students, serving as Principal has been the most rewarding chapter of my career. It allows me to work alongside our outstanding educators while remaining closely connected to the academic, social, and emotional growth of every student.

Throughout the past several years, I have had the opportunity to learn from our dedicated staff, inspiring students, and supportive families. Together, we have celebrated many accomplishments and continued to build upon the strong tradition of excellence that defines Por Vida Academy. As we move forward, I remain committed to fostering innovation, strengthening communication, and creating meaningful partnerships with our families and community to ensure every student has the support they need to succeed.

On a personal note, I have proudly called San Antonio home for nearly a decade and am a graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio. Go Roadrunners! I am also proud to have earned my Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Lamar University. Go Cardinals! Completing this journey has reinforced my belief that learning never truly ends. Education is a lifelong pursuit, and I continue to grow each day through the experiences, perspectives, and achievements of our students, staff, and families.
